5/2-5 | Mayfest Fort Worth 2019

Mayfest is a four-day festival on 33 acres in Trinity Park in Fort Worth, Texas. Join us May 2-5, for music, carnival rides, games, festival food, special attraction shows, art market, dance performances, and so much more! This year marks the 47th anniversary of Mayfest, and we are excited to offer free admission to patrons on Thursday, May 2!

5/4 | Plano AsiaFest 2019

AsiaFest 2019 will showcase the rich cultures of Asia: Japan and Korea in the north; China, Taiwan, and the Philippines to the east; Vietnam and Malaysia in the south; and Bangladesh, India, and Nepal in the southeast. The numerous cultural demonstrations, performances, and vendors will provide a fun and engaging time for your entire family. AsiaFest is FREE to the public!


5/4 | Dallas Fest 2019

A FREE one day festival showcasing the best that Dallas as a city, the region of DFW, and the State of Texas have to offer in terms of music, visual art, food, and all of the senses. We aim to highlight some of the best that Dallas has to offer in terms of #localmade.


5/4 | 4th Annual TAP FEST 2019

5/5 | Dallas Cinco de Mayo Parade & StreetFest

5/6 | AT&T Byron Nelson

Since its inception, the AT&T Byron Nelson has raised more than $155 million for Momentous Institute, more than any other PGA TOUR event. One of the exciting things with the tournament moving to the City of Dallas is that people will be able to enjoy golf, while experiencing the beauty of the Great Trinity Forest – the largest urban forest in the United States. With Trinity Forest Golf Club being only nine miles south of downtown Dallas, fans will also enjoy all the great dining, night life and fun that Dallas has to offer.


5/10-12 | KAABOO TEXAS

5/11 | Legacy Jazz Festival

The first annual Legacy Jazz Festival hosted by the Braswell HS Band will take place on Saturday, May 11th at Legacy Food Hall. Patrons will hear performances by area middle school and high school jazz bands. Performances will also be given by jazz icon, Freddie Jones and GRAMMY nominated drummer, Ray “Quasi” Nelson. Join us for a day full of fun, food, and JAZZ!


5/11 | Asian Festival 2019

Save the date for our annual 2019 Asian Festival at Cypress Waters, Dallas! This year will feature cultural performances, cultural pavilions, vendor booths, authentic delicious Asian food, and much much more! You won’t want to miss out on this free event.


5/11 | Frisco StrEATS Food Truck & Music Festival by Nack Development

Come down and enjoy the best food trucks the area has to offer, amazing music acts, some of the most unique shopping experiences, kids activities, and much more! The event is free for everyone to enjoy, food, beverages, and shopping are extra.


5/17-19 | Texas Ballet Theater Presents Pinocchio

Come along as mischievous Pinocchio embarks on a whirlwind quest to become a real boy. With its phenomenal costuming and innovative choreography, Pinocchio is a spectacle for the ages. The kindhearted carpenter and the charming puppet come to life in this captivating fable, sure to be adored by young and old alike. It’s pure magic – with no strings attached.


5/17-19 | Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival

The 27th celebration is a series of events for everyone including live performances by national, regional & local bands, the Singer Songwriter Stage, contest & workshop, the family-friendly WF! Kids, the WF! Eats, the WF! Marketplace, and Performers Row showcasing strolling entertainers, buskers & acrobats.

5/21 | North Texas Life Science Career Symposium (LSCS) 2019

The North Texas Life Science Career Symposium (LSCS 2019)is the first of its kind in Dallas-Fort Worth. The goal of LSCS is to connect top academic talent in North Texas with careers in the life sciences. LSCS will bring together graduate students, post doctorates, medical professionals, and others together with life science company representatives and key opinion leaders for an evening of career exploration, networking, and job opportunities.


Opens 5/25 | DISCOTECH at Sweet Tooth Hotel

Sweet Tooth Hotel announces DISCOTECH. In collaboration with px.lab, a mixed reality studio focused on large-scale new media productions, Discotech will combine music and new media to create interactive audio-visual installations. You’re invited to check in…throw on a pair of Sweet Tooth Hotel silent disco headphones and explore the newly expanded space, complete with a bar.


Opens 5/25 | 9th Annual Dallas Margarita Meltdown 2019

You taste! You vote!You play judge and vote for your favorite margarita. Sample the best restaurants and bars throughout the Dallas/Ft.Worth area all at one location. Competitors will concoct their finest margarita and offer samples from 5pm-8pmat the margarita competition at the West End (Downtown Dallas). The winner of the Best Margarita in Dallas will be announced at 8:45pm.


5/26 | Memorial Day Music Fest

Join us as the lawn comes alive with the Park’s first-ever FREE music festival. Check out performances across multiple stages throughout the day and into the night. Between performances, explore vendor booths, play in the family game zone, have your face painted and feast on bites from our famous food trucks.


5/28-6/1 | 2019 Dallas Festival of Books and Ideas

Since 2015, the Dallas Festival of Ideas has aimed at shaping the city of the future by igniting, uniting, and energizing the people of Dallas through the power of ideas. In 2019, the 5th annual city-wide event will have a new look and expanded content, incorporating the Dallas Book Festival into its programming and conducting its familiar city-track explorations over a week-long period


5/31-6/2 | Taste Addison 2019

A North Texas legend since 1993, Taste Addison dishes out the best food and flavor with a healthy side of jam. The region’s original food festival continues to deliver Addison’s favorite eateries, national music artists, and activities for the whole family with a three-day menu of fun, May 31 – June 2, 2019.

5/31-6/2 | Taste Addison 2019

A North Texas legend since 1993, Taste Addison dishes out the best food and flavor with a healthy side of jam. The region’s original food festival continues to deliver Addison’s favorite eateries, national music artists, and activities for the whole family with a three-day menu of fun, May 31 – June 2, 2019.


6/1 | Dallas Pride Parade & Festival

Dallas Pride 2019 includes the Miller Lite Music Festival at Fair Park on Saturday, June 1st, followed by The 36th annual Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade on Sunday, June 2nd. The parade will wind through the historical Fair Park grounds with parade announcers, food and beverage along the route. A detailed parade route map will be posted online. The parade is always FREE to attend and watch. The parade kicks off at 2 pm and will be broadcast live on CW33.


6/1 | Voly in the Park

Voly in the Park is the largest volunteer festival in Dallas, featuring 75 nonprofit agencies, hands-on volunteer projects, live entertainment, and more than 5,000 attendees!


6/1 | Future Retrospective: Master Shen-Long Exhibit at the Crow Museum of Asian Art

The exhibition, with items never before seen in an American museum, will feature sculptural and dynamic works dating from the 1980s to the present, offering visitors an immersive installation to explore and experience the artist’s practice. The works of art range from oversized paper and canvas paintings (measuring several hundred feet long) to Bowie knives with exquisitely carved blades. Free and open to the public, Future Retrospectiveruns June 1, 2019-Aug. 23, 2020, at the Dallas Arts District museum located at 2010 Flora St.


6/1 | 3rd Annual Rosé Wine Walk on Greenville Ave

It’s that time of year again, y’all!! Announcing our 3rd Annual Rosé Wine Walk, this year on Greenville Avenue, on June 1 from 12 to 6 pm! Join Dallasites101 in celebration of National Rosé Day (one week early), as we wander Lowest Greenville and its awesome restaurants and shops, while enjoying all the rosé.


6/7 | Taste of Dallas 2019

Taste of Dallas, Dallas’ premier summertime food and drink festival, returns for its 33rd year serving up 3 fun-filled days of great #foodand #beveragesfeaturing over 200 #chefs, #restaurants, #sponsors, and #exhibitorstaking part in dozens of engaging and interactive activations. This #Texastradition is one of the largest and most anticipated events of the year, showcasing the best of what this larger than life city has to offer!

6/8 | McKinney Beer and Bites Fest

Join us for McKinney Beer + Bites Fest Presented by Auto Hail Repair Groupon Saturday, June 8th from 4pm-8pm for some delicious food from local restaurants, Tupps beer pairings, two bands, lots of shopping at local boutiques and shops and overall good times!


6/9 | DSO Hardship Relief Concert

The Dallas Symphony performs a concert that includes selections from Copland, Stravinsky & Mendelssohn for the DSO’s recently created Hardship Fund benefitting orchestra and staff members facing unforeseen difficulties. 6/15 | HP Village LOCAL Artisan Market

Food, family and fun converge at Highland Park Village LOCAL, a seasonal neighborhood market featuring a variety of Dallas-Fort Worth’s favorite vendors, games and entertainment. Located in Livingston Court, between Celine and Balenciaga.


6/15 | Asian Festival 29th Anniversary Celebration

7/21 | Threads: Open Mic Poetry Event

In partnership with WordSpace, Dallas Contemporary is pleased to present a Poetry Open Mic coordinated by artist and poet Monika Bell. Bell works in response to themes common in Francesco Clemente’s work: the self, the double, the universe, and the divine. She invites you to respond to Clemente’s exhibition at Dallas Contemporary by writing an original piece for this Open Mic event.
