9/22 – 11/21 | Autumn at the Arboretum

Our fall festival is a spectacular show of color with 4,500 of fall’s favorite flower-Chrysanthemums, along with 150,000 more stunning, fall blooming plants, and our internationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village, featuring more than 90,000 pumpkins, squash and gourds, plus the outstanding Children’s Adventure Garden.  11/3 | AURORA

Immersive and engaging, AURORA is an expansive free public art event that transforms Downtown Dallas into an open-air, urban playground of new media art that is not to be missed. With installations of light, video and sound presented in unexpected places, the sunset signals the transformation of the city into one of the nation’s largest outdoor exhibitions.


 11/3 | Dallas Hot Air Balloon Festival & Victory Cup Polo Match

Balloons. Polo. Fashion. Food. In its fourteenth year, this event isn’t just a polo match it’s a networking and social destination drawing thousands for each event.  11/3 | The Exchange – DFW African American Market and Vendor Showcase

Welcome to the DFW African American Market and Vendor Showcase! This event will be held monthly to celebrate African American Businesses and Vendors in the area. The event is meant to showcase local talent and give African Americans a space to present their line of work. The event is free to the public and open to men, women, and children. There will be a $50 vendor fee to participate in the event.


 11/3 | Plastic Free Plan-It

Does plastic waste bother you? Are you looking to make a difference in our community? On Saturday, November 3, you and your family can join us for a day of fun entertainment and education on plastic recycling! All proceeds will benefit common area recycling infrastructure in Grand Prairie schools.


 11/4 | Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas Buddy Walk®

The Buddy Walk® is a fun event for the entire family that promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The event features inflatables, vendor tents, face painting, music, food trucks, balloon artists, clowns, team tailgating, and a 1.5 mile awareness walk. Proceeds from the event benefit the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas, a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing accurate and current information, resources, and support to people with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.


 11/9 | Dallas Autumn Ball 2018

Please join us in celebrating the sixth annual Dallas Autumn Ball in support of Reading Partners with a featured performance from Goldfish, an acclaimed South African group that has played Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, and more! The Emerald City Band is also performing at this annual can’t miss night! The 2018 Dallas Autumn Ball benefits Reading Partners, an education nonprofit organization that works with Title I elementary schools in Dallas to uplift Kindergarten to 4th grade students reading six months to two-and-a-half years below grade-level! Attire: Black-tie required for the guys, and stunning dresses for the ladies.


 11/10 | Trinity River Run 2018

If you love running by the Trinity River in Dallas, enjoy a flat, fast and scenic course, and are a craft beer lover, this is a must run sunset half marathon! Saturday, November 10th is the annual Trinity River Run event!


 11/10 2018 Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash

Etsy Dallas’ Jingle Bash, a premier handmade shopping event and party, will showcase the very best in local handmade apparel, bags, jewelry, home décor, accessories, art, pottery and more.


 11/10 | Bree Moore Productions 5th Annual Fashion Show

Fashion influencer Bree Moore will be presenting a runway show that will showcase the talents of cultural creatives, a growing demographic that puts an emphasis on cultural experiences and the ability to create. The event is designed to entertain the fashion demographic of Dallas in a unique venue and display the talents of rising designers. Proceeds will benefit the Bree Moore Productions: After School Program.


 11/10 | PurpleStride Dallas-Fort Worth 2018

Join us for the 10th Anniversary of PurpleStride DFW 2018 and together we will continue to rewrite the book on how to fight this deadly disease. Each year, in communities across the country, tens of thousands of people participate in the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s PurpleStride events. These events are critical in raising awareness and funds that advance pancreatic cancer research and support patients and loved ones with a promise of a better tomorrow.


 11/10 | Rhapsody in Red Charity Ball

We are excited to announce that the 3rd Annual Rhapsody in Red Charity Ball benefitting One Heart Project will be held November 10, 2018 at the Belo Mansion in Dallas, TX! Come join us for another fantastic evening with friends, live music, libations, great food and an amazing cause!


 11/16 | 2018 Addison Circle Tree Lighting Ceremony

Please join us as we celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with our Ninth Annual Addison Circle Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event will be full of holiday fun featuring children’s activities, horse carriage rides, holiday shopping, refreshments, door prizes and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Santa and Mrs. Clause will arrive by the Town of Addison’s fire engine for all the children to enjoy.


 11/16 | 2018 Black Collar Affair – Canines, Felines & Cuisine

Black Collar Affair will be a feast for the eyes, ears, and, of course, mouth! A variety of notable chefs from your favorite metroplex restaurants will be on hand to showcase signature dishes for your enjoyment. You can also look forward to over 150 silent and live auction items as well as exciting entertainment and maybe even a few surprises!


 11/16 | Taste of France – Fall in Love All Over Again

Are you ready to enjoy a Taste of France and fall in love all over again? This fall, The French-American Chamber of Commerce is taking you on a journey through the wine, food and fashion of France which has become an American obsession. Sip French Reds, Whites and Rosés from the regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Chardonnay, Chablis, Provence. Taste pâtés, fromages, gateaux, macaroons and signature dishes offered by some of the area’s top chefs and gourmet purveyors.

 11/17 | Rise Up Against Addiction 5K Walk/Run Dallas

Shatterproof Rise Up Against Addiction 5K Walk/Run is a national movement. Families, friends, coworkers, and neighbors walk or run 5 kilometers to bring the disease of addiction into the light. Whether you’ve had a substance use disorder or have watched someone you care about struggle with this disease, join us to show that no one should ever suffer alone. Unite with other walkers and runners, supporting those who have lost a loved one to addiction and celebrating those who are living in recovery today.


 11/17 | The Dallas Pancakes & Booze Art Show

As the nation’s premier pop-up art show, The Pancakes & Booze Art Show provides art lovers an opportunity to explore more than 500 pieces of artwork created by some 100+ artists local to Dallas’s unparalleled art scene. Alongside an immensely wide variety of pop art, fine art, and photography; show goers can sip on some of the dankest craft beer or signature cocktails while consuming free pancakes over and over again.


 11/17 | Plano Christmas Market

This fun and FREE event will showcase handmade holiday gift items made of fabric, wood, ceramic, and glass. Other exhibitors will have jewelry and clothing for adults and children, along with candles and soaps.


 11/17-18 | Texas Taco Festival

The most anticipated food & entertainment festival of the year is taking over Texas Live! (located next to Globe Life Park and AT&T Stadium) on Saturday & Sunday, November 17 & 18, 2018.  11/17- 1/6/19 | The Trains at NorthPark

The Trains at NorthPark™, presented by Bank of Texas, has been a NorthPark Center tradition for 20 years. The most elaborate miniature toy trains exhibit in Texas, The Trains at NorthPark™ features trains rolling across 1,800 feet of track on a journey across America. Each year, more than 80,000 people visit The Trains at NorthPark™ as a part of their holiday tradition.


 11/18 | 2018 GM Financial Fort Worth Parade of Lights

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, November 18, 2018 for the 36th edition of this Downtown Fort Worth signature event, welcoming GM Financial as our title sponsor, and celebrating 100 years of Cook Children’s! The theme this year will be, “Through the Eyes of a Child,” and will featuring spectacular floats, giant illuminated balloons, performing groups, local community groups and more.  11/18 | Lights at Legacy

 11/19 | Grapevine’s Carol of Lights Presented by Cobb Real Estate Team

Discover the magic of Christmas this year at City Hall as we illuminate all of downtown Grapevine with our annual Carol of Lights show and STREET lighting on Monday, November 19 in the Christmas Capital of Texas! This presentation of live performances, dazzling dance numbers and breathtaking fireworks will sure to get the entire family in the Christmas spirit! Show up early and embrace the greatest time of year by taking photos with live reindeer, creating seasonal crafts and savoring tasty food vendors.


 11/22 | 51st Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot

The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is one of the largest multi-event races in the country. The excitement that surrounds Dallas City Hall Plaza grows each year as more runners and new generations of families turn out to experience the fun, family-friendly atmosphere that is the backdrop for the race and walk.

All proceeds from the The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot support community programs by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, such as LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and Safety Around Water just to name a few.


 11/22 – 12/30 | Prairie Lights – Holiday Light Experience

Upon arriving at the entrance of Prairie Lights,  you will be dazzled with 4 million lights set along 2 miles of path. Hundreds of ALL-NEW displays in shapes of all kinds line and arch over the roads. Half way through the drive get out of your car for a stop at Holiday Village where you will find food, gifts, Santa, a brand-new indoor Holiday Show, and the Holiday Magic Lighted Walk-Through Forest. Once back in your vehicle, the second half of the drive ends with the very animated light tunnel – the perfect finale to a night you will never forget!


 11/23 | Vitruvian Lights Special Event – Lighting Ceremony

The most dazzling and spectacular time of the year is here! Vitruvian Park transforms into a magical holiday wonderland during Vitruvian Lights; Friday, November 23, 2018 – Tuesday, January 1, 2019. On November 23, we “flip the switch” at 6:00pm! The merriment continues with a performance by the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, gourmet food trucks, sweet treats, FREE photos with Santa, classic holiday characters, elf balloon artist, and Metrocrest Services Donation Drive.


 11/23 – 12/23 | SPCA of Texas’ “Home for the Holidays” Pet Adoption Pavilion

The sky is the limit for the dogs (and cats!) that make any house a home. The SPCA of Texas’ “Home for the Holidays” Pet Adoption Pavilion at NorthPark Center has provided special adoption experiences for thousands of four-legged animals and their loving new families for 28 years. Assistance is offered at select times to help families choose the right pets for their lifestyle.


 11/24 | Deep Ellum Mimosa Walk: Small Business Saturday

The Mimosa Walk is a “Sip & Shop” experience. You’re gonna love all that Deep Ellum has to offer. Upon check-in, the guest will receive a souvenir glass, map, and wristband. This is a self-guided tour with samplings of mimosas at each location on the map. No purchase necessary.


 11/29 | Opening Night of Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway

You’re invited to the 5th Annual Gift of Lights Opening Night! We will be open every evening from 6 pm – 10 pm, 7 days a week from November 29nd, 2018 – December 30th, 2018.


 11/29-12/22 | Unbranded

For the fourth year in a row, Unbranded, an innovative pop-up retail and event concept, will return for 2018 in Downtown Dallas. As in years past, Unbranded will provide free retail space to a curated group of entrepreneurs, designers, artists, and more. This year, Unbranded will run Thursday – Saturday, November 29th until December 22nd. It will be located at 1508 Commerce Street in Downtown Dallas.


 11/30 | Twas the Night Before Christmas

Molly is having trouble finding her Christmas spirit. Determined to make it a Christmas to remember, her mother takes her on a magical treasure hunt through New York City from Radio City Music Hall to Macys, where they encounter dancing elves and even Santa Claus himself! Featuring a score of beloved Christmas songs, Twas the Night Before Christmas is a yuletide spectacular guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit!


 11/30 | Denton Holiday Lighting Festival 2018

Join us for one of Denton’s most beloved holiday traditions! There will be plenty of live local music, food, family fun and joyful holiday spirit for this one-of-a-kind community event! The event is FREE thanks to our generous donors. There will be some food and activities available for purchase. Please be sure to bring a toy for our toy drive benefiting Elves Shelves.

The Dallas Holiday Parade regularly draws crowds of more than 450,000. More than 350 television stations in 159 markets have syndicated the parade. It has become a holiday tradition for thousands of families throughout North Texas and coast to coast.

12/2 | Sleigh Ride Holiday Concert

Join us for a sleigh ride as The Women’s Chorus of Dallas kicks off the holiday season with Texas Chamber Music Project and special guests Singing Girls of Texas.


12/2-14 | Dallas Zoo Visits Reunion Tower

Geo-Deck the halls at Reunion Tower! Have flurries of fun with our furry friends from the Dallas Zoo! The Animal Adventures team will showcase a mixture of mammals, birds and reptiles for up-close experiences for guests of all ages to enjoy on select dates. 12/12 | Dallas Symphony Orchestra Holiday Concert

Celebrate the season with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Holiday Concert at NorthPark Center. Expect all of your holiday favorites and special sing-alongs for the whole family. This free concert takes place in NorthCourt, on Level One between Nordstrom and Macy’s. Food and drink will be available for purchase from NorthPark restaurants.


12/12-16 | A Christmas Story, The Musical in Dallas, TX

12/14 | Dallas Zoo Lights

Come support the Oak Lawn Band and your very own Dallas Zoo this December as Reliant puts on “Zoo Lights” – a magical winter wonderland donned in festive lights! The Oak Lawn Band will accompany the luminous and jolly atmosphere with your favorite holiday tunes. Zoo Lights is covered with a general admission ticket to the Dallas Zoo!


12/19 – 1/6 | The Phantom of the Opera

Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will come to Dallas as part of a brand new North American Tour. Find available tickets here.


12/20 | 2018 Dallas Jingle Bell Run

The Generational Group Dallas Jingle Bell Run has been a Dallas tradition for over 20 years. This is a festive family-friendly event with a nighttime 5k race, 1-mile fun run, and a lively post-race party. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their spirited holiday attire and will also be given a pair of jingle bells and glow sticks to “jingle all the way” through the race. The event is 100% dog-friendly!


12/21 | Winter Solstice Sunrise Celebration

Join us at the Perot Museum and celebrate the science of the winter solstice with a morning of joyful activity, including a yoga practice in the Life Then and Now Hall, an interactive workshop in the Gems and Minerals Hall, and a sunrise dance party in the lobby!


12/28-29 | Lights All Night 2018

12/28-29 | New Year’s Eve at Hyatt Regency Dallas

Ends 2/17 | Dallas in the Time of MLK During the 1960s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. made two important visits to speak in Dallas. The exhibit focuses on King’s 1963 speech in Fair Park and his 1966 speech at Southern Methodist University.


 1/10 | Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition and Festival Ticket On-Sale Launch Event

The Cliburn will kick off sales for the Second Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition and Festival with a special launch event at NorthPark Center at 11:00 AM. The event will feature a performance by 2015 Cliburn Junior Competitor Amir Siraj, remarks from renowned Dallas arts patron and NorthPark owner Nancy A. Nasher and Cliburn President & CEO Jacques Marquis, a light reception following remarks, and on-site box office.  1/10-13 | Best of Fests

Twenty-two North Texas Film Festivals have come together to give a gift to the community: a celebration of all festivals, as one festival. Each festival will screen a short or feature-length film that best evokes who they are. Come sample the best of zests and experience new perspectives.


 1/17-18 | Chocolate And Art Show Dallas

Indulge yourself in some of Dallas’ finest up-and-coming artists, photographers and creators! There is something for every body including live body painting, live music, face-painting, live portraits and free chocolate! Show goes from 8pm – 2am. Ages 21+.


 1/18-21 | Jurassic Quest

Jurassic Quest is Americas Largest and most realistic Dinosaur Event. Our guests will walk through the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Period and The Triassic period and experience for themselves what it was like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs. Jurassic Quest is the only Dinosaur event that has true to life size dinosaurs. In collaboration with leading paleontologists, each one was painstakingly replicated in every detail.


 1/19 | Texas Wine & Cheese Tasting

Sip local at the Dallas Farmers Market Texas Wine & Cheese Tasting. Wineries from across the state will sample premium wines made from the Texas grape harvest. Pair your wine with a fine selection of Texas-made artisan cheeses. The Texas Wine & Cheese Tasting is local, hand-crafted and brought to you with care. Visit with the makers, enjoy live music and stroll the weekend market as you taste the richness of Texas.


 1/20 | Film Screen: Selma by the Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance In conjunction with the City of Dallas’ annual celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr., join us for a screening of Selma at the Texas Theater. The film is based on the 1965 voting rights marches from Selma to Montgomery led by Dr. King and other Civil Rights leaders. Tickets are free – RSVP here.


 1/21 | 2019 MLK Day Parade

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center’s Board, Steering Committee, and Staff invite you to participate in the 37th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Weekend March/Parade. The march/parade will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019, starting from Holmes Street and MLK Jr. Blvd. promptly at 10:00 AM.

 1/25 | Final Fridays at the Dallas Art Gallery (The DAG)

Final Fridays at the Dallas Art Gallery! Come to the 8th floor and see some of the best artists that Dallas has to offer. There will be food, drink, music and ART! Everything is for purchase. The Big D Climb is set for Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Bank of America Plaza, the tallest building in downtown Dallas! Take the challenge and climb 70 stories to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society raise $350,000 for the mission. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.


 1/26 | Creating Peace: A Free Public Talk with Gen Kelsang Menla

Gen Kelsang Menla will share some simple Buddhist teachings and a practice of meditation that will open a window in our mind, through which we can see the possibility of true peace and happiness. BRICKLIVE will launch its first ever event in the United States at The Star in Frisco on January 26 & 27, 2019. Produced by Live Nation, the international LEGO® brick event will feature over 99,000 square feet of astonishing interactive exhibits, hands-on building activities, amazing live performances and incredible demonstrations for builders of all ages inside Ford Center.

Ends 2/17 | Dallas in the Time of MLK

During the 1960s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. made two important visits to speak in Dallas. The exhibit focuses on King’s 1963 speech in Fair Park and his 1966 speech at Southern Methodist University.

2/9 | Chinese New Year Festival 2019

Join us at NorthPark Center for the Crow Museum’s 20th annual Chinese New Year Festival, celebrating 2019—the Year of the Earth Pig. Pigs are considered a symbol of wealth; their chubby faces and big ears are both signs of good fortune. This year’s festivities will include a wealth of activities and festivities to help ring in the New Year, including dragon and lion dances, art making for all ages, and giveaways throughout the Center.

The Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k, coined as America’s Sweetest Race, is brought to you by RAM Racing. Established in 2008, the inaugural Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k ran through the streets of Chicago, Illinois. Since its inception, over 200,000 participants have run for chocolate, making it the fastest growing race series in the nation!

It is celebrated to commemorate India’s Republic Day, the day on which the Constitution of India came into force. It is one of the three National holidays in India.


2/10 | Cochon555 Epic Culinary Competition in Dallas

Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas will play host to an all-star cast of chefs who specialize in whole-animal cooking paired with farmers responsibly raising delicious heritage breed pigs when Cochon555 returns to Dallas on February 10th. The all-inclusive feast will feature a hundred-plus prominent chefs, farmers, sommeliers, distillers, brewers and barkeeps all working in concert to create luxurious moments that educate the palate. 2/10 | 5th Annual North Texas Craft Beer Chili Challenge

The last four years were so much fun and were such a great success, we’re doing it again this year…only bigger! We invited all the North Texas breweries to come out and compete with a chili made using one of their beers. The public will vote for their favorite and we’ll run the winning brewery’s chili as a special on the menu for a limited time. We will be selling tasting cups/spoons with the proceeds benefiting the North Texas Food Bank.

The Greatest Gala on Earth is an opportunity for individuals, groups, companies, and organizations to become involved with Chase’s Place, a school for kids with special needs. The event is a fun night of dinner, dancing, and an auction of the kids’ artwork enhanced by local artists. 100% of the proceeds from this event go to the operation of the school, therapy costs, and financial aid.

Engineering opportunities abound as you engage in hands-on and mind-challenging activities throughout the Museum. Invent, design, test and improve your ideas while you collaborate with area engineers and explore the fascinating fields of engineering. Engineers Week activities are included with regular Museum exhibit admission.
