9/21-23 | Plano Balloon Festival, Inc.

Celebrating 39 years of ballooning in Plano, Texas the 2018 InTouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival is a three-day weekend that offers something for everyone: entertainment on the FOX 4 community stage and KLUV main stage, fireworks show, kids activities, sky divers, and an enormous variety of food, merchandise and handmade products; and of course the incredible hot air balloons.


9/22 – 11/21 | Autumn at the Arboretum

Our fall festival is a spectacular show of color with 4,500 of fall’s favorite flower-Chrysanthemums, along with 150,000 more stunning, fall blooming plants, and our internationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village, featuring more than 90,000 pumpkins, squash and gourds, plus the outstanding Children’s Adventure Garden. 9/25 | Otsukimi Moon Viewing Festival 2018

The harvest moon is on the horizon, and we’re over the moon to announce our fifth annual Japanese moon viewing festival, Otsukimi. On Tuesday, September 25, celebrate the full autumn moon at Klyde Warren Park with an evening under the stars and city lights.


9/28 – 10/21 | 2018 State Fair of Texas

At 24 consecutive days, the State Fair of Texas is the longest-running fair in the nation, as well as one of the largest. Through its rich and lengthy history, it remains evident that the State Fair serves not only as an annual celebration but as a unique destination that brings people from all walks of life together to create lifelong memories.


9/29-30 | Gelato Festival Dallas 2018

Gelato Festival is the event where the most incredible gelato flavours created by skilled gelato artisans challenge each other for the title of best gelato in the world. When buy a ticket you will be given a bracelet and a map of the Festival. You can taste all the flavors in the competition as well as special flavors, attend the courses and play games at the most delicious Gelato Village there is.  10/5-6 | Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet’s Horror Series

Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet’s season favorite is back featuring four new tales of terror and two old favorites back by popular demand. This year’s third annual Horror Series will send chills up your spine, but not without a good laugh here and there…it can’t be all scary! The lineup includes work from the dark minds of four female choreographers: Emilie Skinner, Whitney Hart, Erin Boone and Elise Lavallee. In addition, prominent Dallas-based Visual Artist Jeff Gibbons will premiere new work as an experimental project. FREE beer, tricks and treats will be served. Stick around to meet the cast and choreographers afterwards. Attire: Your favorite Halloween costume!

The Mecum Auction Company is the world leader of collector car, vintage and antique motorcycle, and Road Art sales, hosting auctions throughout the United States, and returns to Dallas, Texas with 1,000 vehicles.


 10/6 | Plano Food & Wine Festival

The Plano Food & Wine Festival event features over 100 wines, food from 20 delicious restaurants and food trucks, 4 bands, local artists, beer and cocktails, culinary demos from local chefs , a play zone for kids and over 60 boutiques and shops! The festival is free and family friendly! Wine tastings are $20 for 10 tasting tickets and a signature event wine glass! Food tickets are only $5 each!


 10/13 | Greater Dallas Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Join us at the Greater Dallas Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 13, 2018 at Dallas City Hall Plaza! The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research where participants will learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services.


 10/13 | 2018 Bell Fort Worth Alliance Airshow

The renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Air Demonstration Squadrons will soar through the North Texas skies at the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show Oct. 13-14 at Fort Worth Alliance Airport.


 10/13 | Fashion X DFW :: South Asia

For the first time ever, East meets West in a culturally significant runway show featuring some of the biggest name fashion designers from Pakistan and India side-by-side with North Texas’s most prominent designers. Put on your best formalwear, grab a cocktail and make these designers feel at home.


10/17 Movie Night at the West Village: The Greatest Showman

The wildly popular West Village Movie Night is back, with outdoor screenings of family friendly flicks for the best possible price: zero dollars. Every third Wednesday night, grab some folding chairs or a blanket and head to the stretch between Mi Cocina and the Landmark’s Magnolia Theatre.

Men’s Fashion Week Dallas Returns! Season 5 is before us and we are so excited to introduce our line of designers, sponsors, influencers, and vendors for our fall/winter production. We have teamed with the Nieman Carlye PR for our biggest production yet. This event series highlights the best of all things Dallas.


10/18 | 5th Annual YP Summit 2018

The YP Summit is an all-day conference focused on developing future leaders by providing 300+ young professionals the opportunity to build relationships, engage in transformative learning opportunities, and interact with civic and business leaders in a top-tier conference setting.


10/19 Social Science: Maker

Let’s get TECHnical as we explore tinkering, engineering, creating, and hacking at this maker themed evening at the Perot Museum! Engage with local scientists about new technologies, share your own maker creations, and discuss maker creations with other makers as we dive into the technology-based extension of the DIY movement.


10/20 | McKinney Wine & Music Festival

The McKinney Wine & Music Festival is back! The highlights of the festival include wine from North Texas and California wineries, 3 bands, 100 artisans and boutiques, culinary demonstrations throughout the day, a variety of delicious food from local restaurants and food trucks, a play zone for kids and grape stomping competitions!


10/20 | Dallas / Ft Worth Water Lantern Festival

Water Lantern Festival is an incredible experience where thousands of family, friends, and strangers celebrate life together. Water Lantern Festival brings together individuals from all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life to join in one emotional and memorable night.


10/20 | 21st Annual Butterfly Flutterby

Bring the entire family, even your pets, to celebrate the migration of the monarch butterfly from Canada to Mexico by way of Grapevine. The 21st Annual Butterfly Flutterby is a free, family-friendly event and will be held at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens, where Butterfly Releases will take place.  A final release will take place at Nash Farm during the Annual Fall Round-up.


10/20 | ArtsGoggle 2018

Since its inception in 2003, ArtsGoggle has become Fort Worth’s premier festival of local arts. The event is hosted in the Near Southside, an eclectic neighborhood of historic elegance and urbanism immediately south of the central business district of Fort Worth. This free to the public, family-friendly event attracts a crowd of 50,000+ that are as diverse as the neighborhood itself. Offering live music, artistic displays of every kind, food, drink, and fun for everyone ArtsGoggle is a wonderfully pleasant testament to the community spirit that fills the Near Southside.


10/21 | Ice Cream Freeze-Out

The Ice Cream Freeze-Out is back! Join the Dallas Farmers Market for a sweet competition inside The Shed. Taste your way through the unique creations from your favorite eateries—then vote for the best. Who will win the Golden Cone? You decide! 10/26 | Night of Decayed Musicians

This October, Lumedia Musicworks presents an original 60 minute semi-opera in three acts. Artistic director Julianna Emanski and stage director Hilary Grace Taylor have carefully selected and arranged a unique program featuring composers such as Handel, Purcell, Marais, Vivaldi, and Britten. We’re sure this will be the perfect spooky experience for music lovers of all stripes.


10/27 | Texas Veggie Fair

Texas Veggie Fair is a FREE annual event celebrating plant-based lifestyle options of every kind. This year’s event will feature vegan food, eco-friendly product vendors, chef demos, speakers, live music, a beer garden, yoga, kids’ activities, and so much more. Texas Veggie Fair is a family- and dog-friendly event open to everyone who enjoys good food and fun. Join us from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Reverchon Park in Dallas!


10/27 | Dallas Gluten-Free & Allergen Free Expo

The Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo will be at the Dallas Market Hall October 27-28. The Expo brings together 100+ brands exhibiting the best gluten-free & allergen-friendly products all in one room! Attendees can sample gluten-free food and drinks, try new products before buying them in the store, attend free presentations & take home a goodie bag! 


10/27 | 44th Annual Harambee Festival

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, in conjunction with the 44th Annual Dallas Harambee Steering Committee, humbly invite you to participate in the 44th Annual Harambee Festival, one of the longest running community events established in Southern Dallas. Harambee is an East African Swahili word meaning “Let’s Pull Together” or “Unity.”


10/27 | Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival

Our Día de los Muertos Festival is a yearly, centuries old tradition where we celebrate our deceased loved ones. Please join us at the Latino Cultural Center with your entire family to celebrate all the people we love. There will be music, sugar skulls, face painting, and many more art activities throughout the building in partnership with The Meet Shop OC and Candelaria & Co. This event is free and open to the public.


10/27 | Fall Architectural Tour – Charles Dilbeck in Dallas

Join us for a look at some of Charles Dilbeck’s most distinctive residential projects in Dallas. With everything from Dilbeck’s ubiquitous Ranch house, to French Norman estates, to his quirky storybook cottages, the line up promises a day of magic. General tour tickets include five houses and are $50, and patron tour tickets are $100.


10/31 | Suspiria 4K + Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet

Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet starts Halloween night off right with a new Suspiria-inspired piece by guest choreographer Marielle McGregor, Executive Director of 6 o’Clock Dance Theatre. Back by popular demand, the program also includes Artistic Director Emilie Skinner’s ‘Coven’ which originally premiered in 2014 at the Texas Theatre and features music from the Suspiria soundtrack by Goblin. The performance starts 8 p.m., followed by the film at 8:30pm via 4K restoration.

Immersive and engaging, AURORA is an expansive free public art event that transforms Downtown Dallas into an open-air, urban playground of new media art that is not to be missed. With installations of light, video and sound presented in unexpected places, the sunset signals the transformation of the city into one of the nation’s largest outdoor exhibitions.


 11/3 | Dallas Hot Air Balloon Festival & Victory Cup Polo Match

Balloons. Polo. Fashion. Food. In its fourteenth year, this event isn’t just a polo match it’s a networking and social destination drawing thousands for each event.  11/3 | The Exchange – DFW African American Market and Vendor Showcase

Welcome to the DFW African American Market and Vendor Showcase! This event will be held monthly to celebrate African American Businesses and Vendors in the area. The event is meant to showcase local talent and give African Americans a space to present their line of work. The event is free to the public and open to men, women, and children. There will be a $50 vendor fee to participate in the event.


 11/3 | Plastic Free Plan-It

Does plastic waste bother you? Are you looking to make a difference in our community? On Saturday, November 3, you and your family can join us for a day of fun entertainment and education on plastic recycling! All proceeds will benefit common area recycling infrastructure in Grand Prairie schools.


 11/4 | Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas Buddy Walk®

The Buddy Walk® is a fun event for the entire family that promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The event features inflatables, vendor tents, face painting, music, food trucks, balloon artists, clowns, team tailgating, and a 1.5 mile awareness walk. Proceeds from the event benefit the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas, a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing accurate and current information, resources, and support to people with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.


 11/9 | Dallas Autumn Ball 2018

Please join us in celebrating the sixth annual Dallas Autumn Ball in support of Reading Partners with a featured performance from Goldfish, an acclaimed South African group that has played Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, and more! The Emerald City Band is also performing at this annual can’t miss night! The 2018 Dallas Autumn Ball benefits Reading Partners, an education nonprofit organization that works with Title I elementary schools in Dallas to uplift Kindergarten to 4th grade students reading six months to two-and-a-half years below grade-level! Attire: Black-tie required for the guys, and stunning dresses for the ladies.

Fashion influencer Bree Moore will be presenting a runway show that will showcase the talents of cultural creatives, a growing demographic that puts an emphasis on cultural experiences and the ability to create. The event is designed to entertain the fashion demographic of Dallas in a unique venue and display the talents of rising designers. Proceeds will benefit the Bree Moore Productions: After School Program.


 11/10 | PurpleStride Dallas-Fort Worth 2018

Join us for the 10th Anniversary of PurpleStride DFW 2018 and together we will continue to rewrite the book on how to fight this deadly disease. Each year, in communities across the country, tens of thousands of people participate in the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s PurpleStride events. These events are critical in raising awareness and funds that advance pancreatic cancer research and support patients and loved ones with a promise of a better tomorrow.

Discover the magic of Christmas this year at City Hall as we illuminate all of downtown Grapevine with our annual Carol of Lights show and STREET lighting on Monday, November 19 in the Christmas Capital of Texas! This presentation of live performances, dazzling dance numbers and breathtaking fireworks will sure to get the entire family in the Christmas spirit! Show up early and embrace the greatest time of year by taking photos with live reindeer, creating seasonal crafts and savoring tasty food vendors.


 11/22 | 51st Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot

The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot is one of the largest multi-event races in the country. The excitement that surrounds Dallas City Hall Plaza grows each year as more runners and new generations of families turn out to experience the fun, family-friendly atmosphere that is the backdrop for the race and walk.

All proceeds from the The Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot support community programs by the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, such as LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and Safety Around Water just to name a few.


 11/23 | Vitruvian Lights Special Event – Lighting Ceremony

The most dazzling and spectacular time of the year is here! Vitruvian Park transforms into a magical holiday wonderland during Vitruvian Lights; Friday, November 23, 2018 – Tuesday, January 1, 2019. On November 23, we “flip the switch” at 6:00pm! The merriment continues with a performance by the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, gourmet food trucks, sweet treats, FREE photos with Santa, classic holiday characters, elf balloon artist, and Metrocrest Services Donation Drive.

The Mimosa Walk is a “Sip & Shop” experience. You’re gonna love all that Deep Ellum has to offer. Upon check-in, the guest will receive a souvenir glass, map, and wristband. This is a self-guided tour with samplings of mimosas at each location on the map. No purchase necessary.


 11/29 | Opening Night of Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway

You’re invited to the 5th Annual Gift of Lights Opening Night! We will be open every evening from 6 pm – 10 pm, 7 days a week from November 29nd, 2018 – December 30th, 2018.


 11/29-12/22 | Unbranded

For the fourth year in a row, Unbranded, an innovative pop-up retail and event concept, will return for 2018 in Downtown Dallas. As in years past, Unbranded will provide free retail space to a curated group of entrepreneurs, designers, artists, and more. This year, Unbranded will run Thursday – Saturday, November 29th until December 22nd. It will be located at 1508 Commerce Street in Downtown Dallas.


 11/30 | Twas the Night Before Christmas

Molly is having trouble finding her Christmas spirit. Determined to make it a Christmas to remember, her mother takes her on a magical treasure hunt through New York City from Radio City Music Hall to Macys, where they encounter dancing elves and even Santa Claus himself! Featuring a score of beloved Christmas songs, Twas the Night Before Christmas is a yuletide spectacular guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit!


 11/30 | Denton Holiday Lighting Festival 2018

Join us for one of Denton’s most beloved holiday traditions! There will be plenty of live local music, food, family fun and joyful holiday spirit for this one-of-a-kind community event! The event is FREE thanks to our generous donors. There will be some food and activities available for purchase. Please be sure to bring a toy for our toy drive benefiting Elves Shelves.

The Dallas Holiday Parade regularly draws crowds of more than 450,000. More than 350 television stations in 159 markets have syndicated the parade. It has become a holiday tradition for thousands of families throughout North Texas and coast to coast.

A SoulFUL Christmas is an annual charity event hosted by Two-Wins, and its partners, to celebrate the holiday season, while making a difference in the lives of others. Hundreds of Dallas young professionals enjoy an evening of music entertainment delivering Christmas hits and meaningful social interactions, all while giving towards a worthy cause.

The Oak Lawn Band will accompany the luminous and jolly atmosphere with your favorite holiday tunes. Zoo Lights is covered with a general admission ticket to the Dallas Zoo!


12/20 | 2018 Dallas Jingle Bell Run

The Generational Group Dallas Jingle Bell Run has been a Dallas tradition for over 20 years. This is a festive family-friendly event with a nighttime 5k race, 1-mile fun run, and a lively post-race party. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their spirited holiday attire and will also be given a pair of jingle bells and glow sticks to “jingle all the way” through the race. The event is 100% dog-friendly!
