Mountain Creek
Mountain Creek Lake is actually a reservoir designed to cool the Electric Power Plant. Today, Dallas Baptist University resides in the hills overlooking the water. Not far away is Potter’s House, led by Oprah favorite Bishop T.D. Jakes, which gathers large worshipping crowds. The Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery rests near the lake. Not only is there access to the park and soccer fields in Mountain Creek Lake Park, but Joe Pool Lake is mere minutes away.
