Esports in the Dallas Region
In a place as innovative as the Dallas Region, it’s no surprise that we’re considered one of the top technology hubs in the nation – and now we’re making our mark on the esports industry.
The emergence of the Dallas Mavericks’ esports team Mavs Gaming and the $10 million dollar Esports Stadium Arlington proves that the billion dollar esports industry is only growing, and there’s no better place to grow than here.
Esports Stadium Arlington
This 100,000 square foot stadium, fully equipped with a retail store and concession stands to feed those who prefer to play until the stadium doors close at 2 AM.
The largest dedicated esports venue in North America, Esports Stadium Arlington hosts various tournaments with teams flying into compete. Their grand opening event (the finals of Esports Championship Series Season 6) saw a sold-out crowd of devoted fans who traveled from all over to root for their favorite team.
Outside the stadium is a gaming center that brings local gamers together with meet-ups, tournaments, and watch parties that invites players from any level of experience. (Full schedules can be found on the venue’s website.)
One of 21 NBA teams that expanded into esports, Mavs Gaming still claims their title of being one of the original 17 NBA 2K League teams – thanks to Mark Cuban who took the opportunity to get in on the growing gaming industry.
When the team isn’t traveling to compete on weekends, they’re practicing in their state-of-the-art Gaming Pavilion in Deep Ellum.
