Ends 10/20 | State Fair of Texas 2019 At 24 consecutive days, the State Fair of Texas is the longest-running fair in the nation, as well as one of the largest. Through its rich and lengthy history, it remains evident that the State Fair serves not only as an annual celebration but as a unique destination that brings people from all walks of life together to create lifelong memories.

10/5 | 2nd Annual Plano Food + Wine Festival Join us for the Plano Food + Wine Festival presented by Maggiano’s! It will be an afternoon filled with wine tastings, delicious food, live music and shopping! The event is free & family friendly. The festivities will take place at The District at The Shops at Willow Bend.

10/8 | NorthPark Center’s Pumpkin Patch The troves of pumpkins and gourds arriving at NorthPark Center every year are a sure sign that fall is here. Visitors of all ages are invited to get into the autumn spirit by exploring NorthPark’s free Pumpkin Patch, on display beginning Monday, September 30 through Thursday, October 31. The Pumpkin Patch sprawls across CenterPark Garden and serves as the perfect backdrop for family photos on a crisp fall afternoon.

10/10 – 11/3 | Pumpkin Nights At PUMPKIN NIGHTS, you’ll set out on a magical quest along a half-mile walking path, where you’ll discover the Forbidden Pumpkin City, a pirate’s cove, and more fantastical lands built using over 3,000 hand-carved real and synthetic pumpkins. The celebration continues with the Spirit of Pumpkins Fire Show, delicious tastes and treats, and outdoor movie screenings. Whether it’s date night or family night, there’s something for everyone at Pumpkin Nights!

10/12 | Dallas’ Original Pumpkin Festival Find the perfect pumpkins and pile em’ high at the Dallas Farmers Market’s Texas Pumpkin Festival! With over 25 varieties of Texas pumpkins, gourds & squash, our ‘gourd’-geous selection has just what you need. Pumpkin pies and décor gourds are just the start of the festivities! See you in The Shed for Live Music, Demos, Family-Friendly Activities, Tastings, & More!

10/12 | Night Lights Event: Dallas Inspired by the traditional Thai Lantern Festival, Night Lights is an all-new and completely reimagined sky lantern experience. Join thousands of your friends, family, and neighbors as we come together to make a truly once-in-a-lifetime memory as we launch our lanterns just after dusk.

10/17 | Pacific Plaza Park Grand Opening Parks for Downtown Dallas, the City of Dallas, and Downtown Dallas, Inc. would like to invite you to help us celebrate the opening of Pacific Plaza, which was made possible by funding from Parks for Downtown Dallas. This new public park will be a gathering space for Downtown residents, workers, and visitors of all ages, thanks to its many thoughtfully designed features.

10/19 | 3rd Annual McKinney Wine & Music Festival Join us for the 3rd Annual McKinney Wine & Music Festival Presented by Master Built Contractors! The event features over 100 wines, three bands thanks to our stage sponsor Trinity Falls, talented artists, local restaurants, craft beer, a VIP tent, a culinary experience tent with demos happening throughout the day, grape stomping competitions, a photobooth and LOTS of shopping with boutiques and local businesses!

Opens 10/19 | Origins: Fossils from the Cradle of Humankind The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, in partnership with the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits University) and the National Geographic Society, proudly announces fossils of two recently discovered ancient human relatives (Australopithecus sediba and Homo naledi) will come to the U.S. from South Africa this fall for the first, and likely only, time to be featured in the limited-run exhibition – Origins: Fossils from the Cradle of Humankind.

10/26 | 2019 Dallas Dia De Muertos Parade/Desfile The inaugural Dallas Dia de los Muertos parade will soon be a new and exciting tradition for the City of Dallas. With this heartfelt parade, it is our mission to celebrate the living and honor our beloved. This historic parade and festival will begin and end at Dallas City Hall, from 4-11pm, while the parade is from 5-7pm. Join us for an evening filled with live music, beautiful fireworks, delicious concessions, fun arts & crafts, and so much more!

10/26 | McKinney Fall Festival & Monster Dash 5k Register today for the Monster Dash 5k and stay after for the big McKinney Fall Festival! The Monster Dash starts and ends in front of TUPPS Brewery. The 5k kicks off at 9am and the festival is from 10am-3pm. (It’s FREE & family friendly!) There will be great food, TWO bands, a pumpkin patch, kids activities, costume contests, over 60 boutiques and shops and of course plenty of delicious cold Tupps beer!

10/26 | Park & Palate 2019 On October 26, Grand Taste will feature more than 30 wine and spirit brands, 40 of Dallas’ favorite chefs, and a beer garden to complement offerings from the always-popular BBQ Alley. A VIP lounge, music, pop-up shops, cookbook signings, lawn games and some of the Park’s favorite daily entertainment make this ticketed party unlike any other in the city.

11/1 | Dia De Los Muertos feat. Bidi Bidi Banda at Legacy Hall Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos at Legacy Hall with Bidi Bidi Banda, the all-star Selena tribute band! Move to the music and celebrate the spirits on November 1 with Bidi Bidi Banda in the Box Garden Legacy Hall.

11/2 | Texas Taco Festival The most anticipated food & entertainment festival of the year returns to Texas Live! (located next to Globe Life Park and AT&T Stadium) on Saturday & Sunday, November 2nd & 3rd, 2019! Get ready for an action-packed day filled with a variety of tacos, margaritas, delicious indulgences, and taco themed activities.

11/2 | City House Boogie Bash w/ KC & the Sunshine Band & Sister Sledge Boogie BASH! will be one of the largest of its kind to raise awareness and funds for youth homelessness in North Texas. The epic night of non-stop nostalgia will feature live performances by KC & The Sunshine Band, Sister Sledge Band (“We are Family”), and Infinite Journey tribute band, plus a 70s costume contest, car raffle, and much more.

11/3 | Social Summit Dallas Join us at the Social Summit for a day of real talk, creativity and inspiration with likeminded, ambitious, entrepreneurial women in the beauty, fashion & lifestyle industry eager to connect, learn & educate. We’ll be chatting with the movers & shakers, beauty disrupters, content creators & boss babes that are making some noise.

11/9 | 2019 Etsy Dallas Jingle Bash Etsy Dallas’ Jingle Bash, a premier handmade shopping event and party, will showcase the very best in local handmade apparel, bags, jewelry, home décor, accessories, art, pottery, and more. Hand-picked artists, crafters, and designers from near and far gather at the Jingle Bash for one-of-a-kind one-stop shopping. Admission is FREE, and kids and strollers are welcome! We’ll have multiple bars on site plus a roundup of amazing food trucks to choose from.

11/9-10 | Deep Ellum Creative Market Announcing the first Deep Ellum Creative Market — a local-first and neighborhood-first outdoor art fair held in the heart of Deep Ellum! We exist to shine a light on the incredible local creative talent in DFW, help preserve and celebrate the diverse history of arts and invention in the Deep Ellum neighborhood, and boost our local businesses.

11/15 | FGI Dallas Night of Stars 2019 The 2019 Night of Stars Gala is Friday, November 15 at 6:30 pm in the Adolphus Hotel. Honorees include legendary fashion designer Bob Mackie for a Lifetime Achievement Award; Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard of Veronica Beard for Career Achievement in Fashion; actress and Dallas native Angie Harmon for Career Achievement in Entertainment; philanthropist Sandra Moon as Art Patron of the Year; and entrepreneur John Terlingo for Career Achievement in Business. Serving as emcee will be Cameron Silver, Fashion Director of the Halston Brand.

11/16 | The 2019 Trains at Northpark Come see the best trains exhibit in DFW all while supporting the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas! The grand opening will be on November 16th. 11/16 | 2019 Annual Korean Festival of Dallas The Korean Society of Dallas and the Korean American Development Foundation will host the 2019 Annual Korean Festival of Dallas at the Carrollton Asian Town Plaza, on Saturday, November 16, 2019, which will highlight Korean culture, including art, food and entertainment.

11/16 | Highland Park Village November LOCAL Market Food, family and fun converge at Highland Park Village LOCAL, a seasonal neighborhood market featuring a variety of Dallas-Fort Worth’s favorite vendors, games and entertainment. Located in Livingston Court, between Celine and Balenciaga.

11/22 | Taste of France & Spain! Are you ready to enjoy a Taste of France & Spain? …The 36th Annual event celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau and much, much more on Friday, November 22nd! The French-American Chambers of Commerce celebrate this fun release around the country, giving you and your friends the opportunity to explore the French culture that has become an American obsession.

11/23-24 | Japanese Fall Festival The Fort Worth Botanic Garden’s Japanese Fall Festival is expanding! Due to the popularity, it is breaking through the walls of the Japanese Garden and into the surrounding Gardens. This means more vendors, performers, food trucks and more!

11/24 | 2019 GM Financial Fort Worth Parade of Lights The GM Financial Fort Worth Parade of Lights will illuminate the streets of Downtown Fort Worth for the 37th year on Sunday, November 24! This year’s “Sounds of the Season”-themed parade will kick off Fort Worth’s holiday festivities with more than 100 festive floats, each adorned with cheerful decor & over half a million lights.

11/30 | Santa Claus is Coming to the Dallas Farmers Market Dear Santa, all we want for Christmas is farm fresh veggies and all-natural treats for our pups. It took lots of fresh baked cookies and handmade tamales, but we’ve convinced Santa to visit us THREE times this year! So bring the whole family–pets and all–to tell Santa who’s been a good boy! Get prints instantly to capture your holiday memory forever. Prints $15 each. Also enjoy letters to Santa inside The Market!

One place that we can never get tired of visiting – the Museum of Memories! If you haven’t been in a while, make another trip to visit their holiday installations (Halloween just wrapped up and we cannot wait to see what they have in store for Christmas!). Festivities aside, you can always go to visit their iconic cereal bowl, cloud room, and more! Check out the pictures below to see how much fun we had visiting.
