9/1 | 2019 Labor Day Food Truck Rally presented by VisitDallas
On Labor Day Sunday, enjoy an amazing array of culinary treats from more than 25 of the best food trucks and carts in the Metroplex at Klyde Warren Park. This family-friendly event will feature live music, activities and giant games on the lawn.

9/4 | Dallas Symphony Orchestra Community Concert
The DSO will perform on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $10. At the concert, the DSO will present the WORLD PREMIERE performance of Inner City Rhapsody by Dallas composer Quinn Mason, a new orchestral commission made possible through the generous support of the Norma and Don Stone New Music Fund. Recently appointed DSO Assistant Conductor Katharina Wincor will conduct the orchestra in her DSO debut.

9/6 | Dallas Chocolate Festival VIP Party 2019
It’s the chocolate party you’ve been waiting for! Enjoy an evening of artisan chocolate. There will be cocktails, a chocolate fountain, light bites, and the opportunity to meet, sample and shop from some of the finest chocolate artisans in the world. We’ll have local favorites, acclaimed chocolate makers from across the country, and amazing foreign producers. This is a 21+ event. All attendees will receive a VIP goody bag. Valet parking is included (so you can wear those fancy shoes!).

9/7 | Dallas Observer BrewFest
Dallas Observer’s 9th Annual BrewFest is back! One of Dallas’ first beer festivals returns to the Dallas Farmers Market on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 7pm-10pm. Brewfest is an outdoor beer-sampling event and festival that will feature over 500+ local, international and craft beers, music, local food and more.

9/7-8 | 2019 Dallas Chocolate Festival Main Event
Join chocolate lovers from across Texas at the tenth annual Dallas Chocolate Festival. This year we are celebrating “The Story of Chocolate” by looking at the characters, settings, and chocolate flavors that make the industry so compelling.

9/13 | Brew at the Zoo
Brew at the Zoo is back! Sample beers and ciders from over 30 local and national breweries and enjoy animal encounters, keeper chats, games, and music by DJ Natural Hiiigh. All proceeds support our conservation efforts! NEW THIS YEAR – Brew at the Zoo has moved to the Wilds of Africa! So you can visit our elephants, lions, giraffes and more, while enjoying the after-hours fun.

9/13-14 | Texas Pinners Conference
Shop, learn, create and connect at Pinners Conference—the event where the best of Pinterest comes to life! With 250 shopping booths and over 100 classes to choose from, get ready for your most fun and creative weekend ever.

9/14 | NorthPark Center Family Philanthropy Festival
Come and spend the day at NorthPark Center and meet some of the incredible nonprofits from across North Texas. All ages can participate in interactive activities, watch live performances, and help make a stronger and more vibrant community for all. Join us for a fun philanthropy fair inside NorthPark Center in NorthCourt featuring 30+ nonprofits hosting free hands-on activities.

9/14 | Meyerson Symphony Center Open House
The DSO will host a FREE Open House on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Meyerson resident ensembles, small ensembles of Dallas Symphony musicians and other organizations from the Dallas Arts District will perform short concerts throughout the day. The lobby of the hall will be filled with an instrument petting zoo, craft activities, organizational information and fun for the whole family. Visitors are invited to come and go throughout the event.

Opens 9/15 | Ragnar Kjartansson’s “The Visitors” on display at the DMA
Experience the emotional power of two works created by Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson. The Visitors is an immersive video installation that features nine screens, depicting eight individual musicians singing the same lyric in separate rooms of the nearly 200-year-old Rokeby Farm House in Hudson Valley, New York. Admission is FREE.

9/15 | Dirk Nowitzki Pro Celebrity Tennis Classic
The beloved Dirk Nowitzki pays homage to his first love – tennis – as he hosts the fourth-annual Dirk Nowitzki Pro Celebrity Tennis Classic on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the SMU Tennis Complex. Joining Dirk for the round robin competition are Tommy Haas, 2000 Olympic silver medalist and former World No. 2; Mark Knowles, Grand Slam doubles champ and five-time Olympian; Steve Nash, former NBA All-Star and two-time MVP; and actor Boris Kodjoe known for his roles in the TV series Station 19, Code Black and Soul Food, and the 2000 film Love & Basketball.

9/19 | North Texas Giving Day 2019
Communities Foundation of Texas’ 11th Annual North Texas Giving Day will be on Thursday, September 19th! Join us for an 18-hour giving extravaganza to benefit our local nonprofits and make a difference here at home. Since its inception in 2009, this online event has transformed from an idea to help raise awareness of nonprofits, to a movement that has ignited a broad culture of community-wide giving. During North Texas Giving Day, everyone has the opportunity to be a philanthropist to build a stronger and more vibrant community!


9/20 | PARK(ing) Day Dallas 2019
PARK(ing) Day Dallas is a FREE annual celebration of space where citizens, artists, designers, organizations & businesses temporarily transform metered parking spaces along Main Street into short-term public “PARK” installations. Rather than parking a car, the metered space is used to promote human use & activity for downtown employees, residents & visitors.

9/20-22 | Plano Balloon Festival
Celebrating 40 years of ballooning in Plano, Texas the 2019 InTouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival is a three-day weekend. The weekend offers something for everyone, entertainment on the FOX 4 community stage and KLUV main stage, fireworks show, kids activities, sky divers, and an enormous variety of food, merchandise and handmade products; and of course the incredible hot air balloons.


9/20-22 | Greek Food Festival of Dallas
The corner of Hillcrest and Alpha will be transformed Sept. 20, 21, and 22 into a Greek island. Come and enjoy delicious cuisine and pastries authentically made in the festival kitchen, spirited live music and dance, fun kids’ attractions, and a marketplace brimming with imports and activity.

9/21 | Smoked Dallas 2019
Join us for a Texas-sized food fest and backyard BBQ party in the heart of downtown Dallas, Sept. 21. Enjoy finger-lickin’ tastings from 20 of the most celebrated BBQ joints from across the Lonestar State. ALL the BBQ, along with sides and desserts are included in your ticket! BBQ tastes better with good country music and we’re serving up some hot tunes with honky tonk legend Dale Watson, Straight Tequila Night and The 40 Acre Mule.

9/21 | Deep Ellum Open Studios 2019
Deep Ellum Open Studios is opening the doors of Deep Ellumʼs artist studios, galleries, and the neighborhood’s myriad creative spaces to the public on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Locals and visitors alike will get an unparalleled view into the spaces where artists, musicians, photographers, designers, tattooists, and artisans make it happen! Deep Ellum has been a haven for artists and those with a creative spirit since its earliest days. Deep Ellum Open Studios is a one day, jam-packed event that is all about celebrating the artistic soul of this special historic district through visual arts, artist tours, an artisan market, and live muraling.

9/26 | YP Summit
Join us on September 26 for our 6th Annual YP Summit. The YP Summit is an all-day conference focused on developing future leaders by providing ambitious young professionals the opportunity to build relationships, engage in transformative learning opportunities, and interact with civic and business leaders in a top-tier conference setting.

9/27-28 | FAME Fest Dallas
FAME Fest is Dallas’ first experiential fitness festival, bringing together the hottest fitness trends, local artists, musicians, and culinary experiences for a weekend of movement and arts. Omni Dallas Hotel and Fitness Ambassadors have partnered to create an unforgettable experience intended to highlight music-driven fitness classes, local musicians and artists.

9/27-10/20 | State Fair of Texas 2019
At 24 consecutive days, the State Fair of Texas is the longest-running fair in the nation, as well as one of the largest. Through its rich and lengthy history, it remains evident that the State Fair serves not only as an annual celebration but as a unique destination that brings people from all walks of life together to create lifelong memories.

9/28 | The Dallas Pancakes & Booze Art Show
Come experience one of the largest pop-up art movements to hit North America over the past decade. Celebrate our 10th year serving FREE PANCAKES and introducing you to some of the nation’s leading emerging artists. Batter sizzles, beer foams, and canvas lines the walls from ceiling to floor as hundreds, sometimes thousands, of revelers indulge in endless pancakes.

9/28 | Frisco Oktoberfest Presented by Nine Band Brewing Co
The festivities will kick off with the opening ceremony at 5pm with a traditional keg tapping! There will be delicious German cuisine, food from local Frisco restaurants, authentic music and dancing thanks to our stage sponsor Audi Plano, a marktplatz with 100 shops, a VIP tent experience, brat eating and stein hoisting contest, keg rolling and of course… plenty of cold bier!

Join us for the Plano Food + Wine Festival presented by Maggiano’s! It will be an afternoon filled with wine tastings, delicious food, live music and shopping! The event is free & family friendly. The festivities will take place at The District at The Shops at Willow Bend.


10/12 | Dallas’ Original Pumpkin Festival
Find the perfect pumpkins and pile em’ high at the Dallas Farmers Market’s Texas Pumpkin Festival! With over 25 varieties of Texas pumpkins, gourds & squash, our ‘gourd’-geous selection has just what you need. Pumpkin pies and décor gourds are just the start of the festivities! See you in The Shed for Live Music, Demos, Family-Friendly Activities, Tastings, & More!

10/12 | Night Lights Event: Dallas
Inspired by the traditional Thai Lantern Festival, Night Lights is an all-new and completely reimagined sky lantern experience. Join thousands of your friends, family, and neighbors as we come together to make a truly once-in-a-lifetime memory as we launch our lanterns just after dusk.

10/19 | 3rd Annual McKinney Wine & Music Festival
Join us for the 3rd Annual McKinney Wine & Music Festival Presented by Master Built Contractors! The event features over 100 wines, three bands thanks to our stage sponsor Trinity Falls, talented artists, local restaurants, craft beer, a VIP tent, a culinary experience tent with demos happening throughout the day, grape stomping competitions, a photobooth and LOTS of shopping with boutiques and local businesses!

Opens 10/19 | Origins: Fossils from the Cradle of Humankind
The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, in partnership with the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits University) and the National Geographic Society, proudly announces fossils of two recently discovered ancient human relatives (Australopithecus sediba and Homo naledi) will come to the U.S. from South Africa this fall for the first, and likely only, time to be featured in the limited-run exhibition – Origins: Fossils from the Cradle of Humankind.

10/26 | McKinney Fall Festival & Monster Dash 5k
Register today for the Monster Dash 5k and stay after for the big McKinney Fall Festival! The Monster Dash starts and ends in front of TUPPS Brewery. The 5k kicks off at 9am and the festival is from 10am-3pm. (It’s FREE & family friendly!) There will be great food, TWO bands, a pumpkin patch, kids activities, costume contests, over 60 boutiques and shops and of course plenty of delicious cold Tupps beer!

10/26 | Park & Palate 2019
On October 26, Grand Taste will feature more than 30 wine and spirit brands, 40 of Dallas’ favorite chefs, and a beer garden to complement offerings from the always-popular BBQ Alley. A VIP lounge, music, pop-up shops, cookbook signings, lawn games and some of the Park’s favorite daily entertainment make this ticketed party unlike any other in the city.
