Key Attributes

Uplift schools emphasize a college-going mindset and a global outlook. With academic and college counselors on every high school campus, Uplift scholars are prepared from the beginning to be successful, both during the college application process and then as they work toward a degree. Through Uplift’s Road to College program, Uplift scholars visit colleges and universities both in Texas and around the country. They learn to navigate the application process and secure scholarships, grants, and financial aid, while keeping debt to an absolute minimum. Uplift alumni counselors then support all graduates through college until they earn their degrees.

Uplift’s academic culture is built around the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB). Put in place at the network’s first school, Uplift North Hills Preparatory in Irving, IB helps develop a well-rounded, self-motivated student who understands how to work with people from different cultures.

In 2014, Uplift Education schools graduated 388 scholars with a 100 percent college acceptance. By 2020, Uplift will help at least 1,000 scholars a year prepare to be successful in college.

Uplift is dedicated to providing a free, high-quality college preparatory education to all students, regardless of their socioeconomic status.
