Lewisville
Settled shortly after Texas received its statehood in the early 1840s, Lewisville grew rapidly after the completion of an enormous reservoir in 1954, now known as the Lewisville Lake. Further growth occurred due to its convenient location at the crossroads of Interstate 35E and the recently completed Sam Rayburn Tollway. Lewisville takes arts, leisure, and recreation seriously with venues such as Lewisville Grant Theater and Lewisville Railroad Park, 14 miles of trails, and all the outdoor amenities of the lake.
