Temps are slowly dropping in Dallas-Fort Worth, but locals know not to let the stubborn summer heat ruin their fall fun! Halloween is just around the corner, and if thrills aren’t your thing, DFW has all the pumpkin patches, corn mazes and hayrides you’ll need for a picture-perfect, cozy autumn day. Check out some of our favorites below, with location details, operating hours and featured activities for you to enjoy solo or with family and friends!

1. Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze

Location: 3420 Hall Johnson Rd., Grapevine, TX 76051

Season: Friday, Oct. 2 – Sunday, Nov. 1

Hours: Wednesday – Thursday, 3 – 8 p.m. | Fridays, 3 – 9 p.m. | Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. | Sundays, 1 – 8 p.m.

Activities/Offerings:

  • Pumpkin patch
  • 2-acre corn maze
  • Hayrides (hop on a daytime hayride to feed the farm’s cows and donkeys!)
  • Kettle corn, apple cider, funnel cakes and more!

Note: This pumpkin patch is cash only! It’s closed every Monday and Tuesday, except for Monday, Oct. 12, when it will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will also be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

2. Autumn at the Arboretum

Location: 8525 Garland Rd., Dallas, TX 75218

Season: Saturday, Sept. 19 – Sunday, Nov. 1

Hours: Daily, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

3. St. James Episcopal Pumpkin Patch

Location: 9845 McCree Rd., Dallas, TX 75238

Season: Saturday, Oct. 3 – Saturday, Oct. 31

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 1 – 7 p.m. | Friday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. | Sundays, 11:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Activities/Offerings:

  • Pumpkin patch
  • Fall Family Fandango, with live music, trunk-or-treating, barbecue and more! (Date TBD)

4. Blase Family Farm

Location: 1232 E. Fork Rd., Rockwall, TX 75087

Season: Saturday, Sept. 19 – Sunday, Nov. 1

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. | Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. | Sundays, 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

  • Homemade fudge and popsicles

5. Preston Trail Farms’ Big Orange Pumpkin Farm

Season: Saturday, Sept. 19 – Wednesday, Nov. 25

Hours: Monday – Sunday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

6. Fall Festival at Yesterland Farm

Location: 15410 I-20, Canton, TX 75103

Season: Saturday, Sept. 19 – Sunday, Nov. 8

Hours: Fridays, 5 – 10 p.m. | Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. | Sundays, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Activities/Offerings:

  • Pumpkin patch
  • Sunflower picking (October only)
  • Corn maze

  • Coasters and amusement rides

Note: The Fall Festival is closed on Friday, Nov. 6, and the hours on Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8, are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

7. Pumpkins on the Prairie

Location: 3521 Main St., Frisco, TX 75034

Season: Saturday, Oct. 3 – Saturday, Oct. 31

Hours: Monday – Friday, 2 – 7 p.m. | Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. | Sundays, 11:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Note: On Frisco ISD holidays (October 9, 12 and 13), this pumpkin patch will open at 10 a.m. On Halloween, it will close for the season at 5 p.m. instead of normal Saturday closing hours.

8. Elves Christmas Tree Farm & Pumpkin Patch

10. Cobbins Family Pumpkin Patch
