When Nicole Bond moved to Dallas in February 2026, it wasn’t her first big move. Originally from Portsmouth, England, Nicole’s career and curiosity have taken her to London, New York City, Denver and Atlanta. Along the way, she developed a love for travel and exploring new cultures.
Her move to Dallas came through an opportunity with Scotiabank, which intentionally selected Dallas as part of its North American growth strategy. For Nicole, the move offered something equally important: a place that fit the lifestyle she and her husband wanted.
So, what made DFW feel like the right fit after living in some of the world’s biggest cities?
For Nicole, it was a combination of the things that matter most in her everyday life—from having space to enjoy the outdoors with her two dogs to discovering new restaurants and neighborhoods. She and her husband chose Uptown, where they can easily enjoy the Katy Trail and the energy of the city around them.
But finding a new home is about more than where you live. It’s also about finding your people.
Nicole was surprised by how easy it was to find community in DFW, both personally and professionally. Through volunteering, networking and simply getting out and exploring, she and her husband have quickly found ways to connect.
That welcoming spirit extends to Nicole’s work with Scotiabank, too. As the company establishes its presence in DFW, she’s seen firsthand how eager the local business community is to help new companies and talent succeed.
Nicole is finding something different in DFW: a place that has quickly felt like home, while still offering fresh opportunities to explore, grow and experience something new.
