Private Schools in Dallas-Fort Worth

Texas families considering private school also have a new resource to explore: the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program.

Created through Texas Senate Bill 2 in 2025, TEFA provides eligible families with state funds that can be used toward approved education expenses for students learning outside the public school system, including participating private schools. For the 2026-27 school year, an awarded student attending a participating private school may receive $10,474. Students with qualifying disabilities and an eligible Individualized Education Program may be eligible for additional funding of up to $30,000.

Not every private school participates in the program, so parents should research individual school admission requirements and TEFA participation.
